Final Project For the final project, you can do one of the following: Pick an emerging processor or a programming environment for an emerging processor to study extensively and write a survey paper in the end. Pick a topic inspired by recent papers from top tier computer architecture conferences and write a survey paper about it. Better yet, if you can come up with some new ideas, write a paper about your new ideas, which may be backed by simulation results. Do another Verilog design project on an application that you propose. Develop an application using a programming environment for an emerging processor (e.g., CUDA for nVidia GPU). Final Project Suggestions Here is a preliminary working list of suggestions for survey type papers. If you want to do a research or a topic-survey paper, here is a list of top tier computer architecture conferences. Look at recent proceedings from the past 2-3 years. New ideas are encouraged.
